By now most of you, our amazing volunteers, should have received our special National Volunteer Week gift in the post. This gift included a T-shirt, thank you card, and a teabag.
‘Why a teabag?’, you will have wondered.
The reason for the unusual teabag inclusion is that we want you to join us this Friday with a nice cuppa, for a ‘sip and watch’ live virtual event.
The event is being held online due to the pandemic, but also recognising that our volunteers are situated from Wide Bay to Tasmania. This event will give us an opportunity to bring you all together in one united celebration.
We don’t want to reveal all the secrets just yet, but we have captured stories and thanks from across the organisation, which will give you a true and absolutely heart-warming insight to the life-changing gift you bring to us in your time and your personalities.
We simply could not do the work we do without each and every one of you, so we thought it was time to celebrate YOU, and what better time than National Volunteer Week, when volunteers across Australia are celebrated for their contribution to their communities.
